Oct 3rd: Dagenham to win at Stafford W13/10.
Oct 4th: Weymouth v Gravesend - full analysis was -
"1. Weymouth are strong at home where last season in the Conference
South they won 17 of 21 at home, and this season after their promotion they have
won 5 of their 6 home games - 3 by 1-0 and 2 by 2-1 i.e. all by a single goal.
In their other game they drew 1-1 with runaway leaders Oxford United.
2. Gravesend on the road are on a 5 match unbeaten run having W2 D3. However,
they were all against teams 12th or much lower in the league. So their away
record is probably flattering and they have conceded 5 in their last 4 away
games.
3. FGS: No bet as Weymouth have scored 8 home goals from 7 different scorers!
4. HT/FT: Weymouth have won in the second half in 3 of their 5 home wins. The
HT/FT Draw/Weymouth bet at 7/2 would have won three times in their six home
games for a LSP of 7.5pts for a 6pt stake i.e. a return of 125%.
5. CS: Gravesend have scored and conceded in 4 of their 6 away games and
Weymouth have won twice (in 6) 2-1 at home."

GOLF - 100% match bet record.
4 match bets - all WON at 10/11, 10/11, 10/11 and a 2.64/1
double!
Here is a typical analysis (W10/11 by 18 shots!):
"WGC Match Bets - Jim Furyk to beat Phil Mickelson - Amazingly here we
have a match bet that has won in each of the last 5 years! by margins of 8
[2005], 4 [2004], 6 [2003], 2 [2002] and 7 [2001]. That's an average winning
margin of 5.4 shots. As 'Lefty' is not in good form (39th GIR in the USPGA),
there's every chance he'll not be 'at it' this week. Furyk was T1st for GIR in
the USPGA but let down by his putting - and will be better suited by the greens
here."

Sunday Sole Advice: LAY 3 shot leader Damien McGrane - he was
3rd!
"Two points suggest he may struggle today: [1] In the last 2 years
he's been I/C 5 times, and only once has he beaten the average score of the
leading contenders. His 5 rounds have been 72-76-71-72-73. [2] He finished R3
yesterday with 4 birdies in the last 4 holes for a round of 64 - and in golf 'streakers'
can't keep it up as it's very difficult to follow one brilliant round with
another. He will find it very difficult to repeat that today."
RUGBY LEAGUE
Weekend games: Leeds v Wigan - Wigan +12pts W10/11
Wakefield v Catalans - Wakefield win by 16-20pts W8/1, Wakefield -6pts
W4/5
"Wakefield are in much the better form with a new coach in John Kear
inspiring them to an 18-0 win at Castleford last week while Catalans were
thrashed by 36pts at Wigan, and Catalans don't travel well losing their last 4
away games at an average of 22pts (36 v Wigan, 14 v Bradford, 26 v St Helens, 12
v Huddersfield. Back in May, at home Catalans beat Wakefield by 8pts but this is
a revitalised Wakefield and Catalans are poor on the road. Even without the
suspended 'tough nuts' Catic and Bethan, Wakefield can win this beating the
handicap, and if they can win by 18 at Cas they can win this at home by a
similar points margin."
NOTE: In the last 8 RL games: 7 correct handicap bets plus 7

Profit for a 7pts stake!
FOOTBALL
Midweek: Liverpool v Maccabi Haifa - HT/FT Draw/Liverpool W9/2
Sunday: Crystal Palace v Leeds - Palace Win W5/4, HT/FT Draw/Palace
W9/2
"Goals are likely to be in short supply. Leeds lack pace at the back and
at home Palace may well shade this. Two facts suggest the HT/FT Draw/Palace bet:
[1] Palace have won both games so far in the second half after losing at HT. All
their 5 goals were scored in the 2nd half, they have been goalless in the first
45 minutes of both games. [2] Leeds have played one away game at QPR and
conceded 2 goals in the last 10 minutes. So Palace, with home advantage, may win
however they may do so in the second half."
4 DAYS - 3 SPORTS - CONTINUOUS SUCCESS
Thursday - BEST BET - US golf 3-ball, Woody Austin bt. Ames & Pampling W2/1
Austin shot 65 to win 3-ball by 4 shots!
'He has averaged exactly 68 here for his last seven completed opening rounds
- with six of them in the 60's inc. a 63. Last weekend he was the best
player at Milwaukee with rounds of 63 & 65. So 2/1 is a good price for
an in-form, course specialist with a superb R1 record.'

GOLF
Only two 3-ball bets given W9/5 (dh), W11/8 (dh).
Only two match bets given - both WON:
Charl Shwartzel beat David Howell W11/8
"Coral's match bets put certainties at long odds on against possible
shock players. Unusually this week, I'll take a chance with this young South
African against 4/7 Howell.
1. CS is clearly improving - his last 3 tournaments were the same as out of form
Howell and he finished ahead of DH in each of them - French Open [40th-MC],
Scottish Open [T2nd-35th], and last week The Open [T22nd-MC]
2. The course is dry and the rough minimal which will help CS whose driving can
be erratic.
3. CS had fairly good GIR stats last week, hitting one less green in regulation
than Garcia [T5th], the same as Adam Scott [8th] and 3 more than Furyk [4th].
4. CS has MC here in 2003 and 2005 but he's in better form now and the minimal
rough course will suit him.
5. CS goes out 4th in the morning in R1, DH 7th in the afternoon so CS has the
better tee times."
*Howell missed the cut, Schwartzel finished T2nd.
Stephen Leaney beat Steve Flesch W10/11
"1. In their last two events SL has beaten SF by 3 shots in the John
Deere and by 9 in the Western Open, and he hit 3 more GIR in the John Deere and
9 more in the Western Open.
2. Course form also favours SL who was T14th on his debut last year while SF's
record is MC 1998, 31st 1999 and 40th last year when he was 4 shots behind
Leaney (although they were level with 18 holes to play).
3. SF has 27 minutes 'advantage' in both their R1 and R2 tee times.
This is certainly not a 'rick' but Leaney can win this."
*Leaney was 31st, Flesch missed the cit.

J.M. LARA - TOP EUROPEAN PLAYER W16/1 backed into 12/1!
"1. He was T5th here in 2004 with a 73.6% GIR.
2. In 2004, he was T1st Top European, and last year on the Palmer Course he was
2nd Top European.
3. Last week in the French Open he was T40th - but he was 8th GIR at 76.4%, it
was his putting that was poor - however there's every chance it will improve
here as in 2004 on this track he won the Number 1 player for putts per GIR.

TIM CAHILL, TOP AUSTRALIA GOALSCORER WON 7/1
Given as BEST BET on 8th June:
"A proven midfield goalscorer, particularly good in the air, he scored 6
of the 21 goals in qualifying and was the Aussies top scorer. Scored the Aussie
goal last Saturday in the 1-1 draw in Holland. 7/1 looks very big to me."

WORLD CUP GROUP G - Switzerland W7/2
"Impressive against Italy last Wednesday in a 1-1 draw. They were
unbeaten in qualifying W4, D6, and in their games against France they drew 0-0
and 1-1 at home. They had the nerve to go to Turkey to finally qualify. They
have a great team ethic and with reports of dissent in the French camp, at these
odds the Swiss are worth a bet. They look to be the best 'value' in the group
stages."
Switzerland were the ONLY non-favourite to win any Group.

FOOTBALL: The big midweek TV games
Mon - Spurs to bt West Brom W4/9
Tue - Arsenal to bt Juventus W6/4
"I give Arsenal a real chance for 6 key reasons:
1. The Gunners didn't play on Saturday, whereas Juve played a really tough
draining 1-1 draw with Roma on Saturday evening which they had to play with 10
men for half the game after Nedved's sending off.
2. Juve will be without Nedved so will be weakened on the left side of MF - Del
Piero is another non-starter.
3. The CB's Cannavarro and Thuram may lack pace and could struggle against
Arsenal's quick interpassing attacks led by Henry.
4. Let's remember Juve were very lucky to get through the last round in the
dying minutes after a 'howler' by the Werder Bremen keeper and the German side
scored 3 at home to Juve.
5. Arsenal at home have been in confident mood and the tight ground may not suit
dangerman Juve winger Camoranesi.
6. No away side has won in the last 16 Champions League QF and SFs."

1. Basle are really strong at home - winning 5 of 6 Euro games this season and
they're unbeaten there domestically in the last 3 years.
2. They did not play at the weekend whereas Middlesbrough played on Sunday, and
we saw at Highbury on Tuesday how another home side, Arsenal, took advantage of
that in the last 50 minutes.
3. Boro are without key players - CB Southgate and defensive shield Boateng who
is a massive loss and star youngster Lee Cattermole is also out.
4. Delgado is a dead ball specialist, takes the penalties, and has 6 Euro goals
this season."

"This match appeals as a score draw as Huddersfield have had 3 away
score draws in 4 away games to other top 6 sides and Swansea have had 3 1-1s in
their last 7 home games. Huddersfield have had 3 1-1s and 3 2-2s on the road and
Swansea have had 4 2-2, all in away games.
Correct Score: 1-1 is 11/2 and 2-2 is 14/1 with Lads, Tote, SJ, Coral, BlSq,
giving combined odds of 3.6/1. This bet has won in 6 of Huddersfield's away
games and in 3 of their 4 away games to the top 6 sides. Note: On Betfair, 1-1
is 7.2 and 2-2 is 16 giving combined odds in conventional terms of over

SAT: Hearts v Partick - LGS Mark Roberts W20/1 (sole bet).
"The one bet here at a sensible price may be LGS: Mark Roberts (Partick)
@ 20/1 SkyBet cf 10/1 SJ. He's scored 6 so far in their Cup run, he's their
penalty taker, and he was the LGS at SPL Inverness in the last round. As I'd
expect Hearts to be well ahead towards the end of the game, they may relax and
he can then get the consolation goal."

"[Best Bet] Asian Handicap: Blackburn at 2 with Bet365 off zero
(i.e. Blackburn to win with the draw no bet).
Blackburn to win @ 23/10 BlSq, 21/10 VC cf 6/4 Coral!
Blackburn at these odds look a very solid bet for 4 key reasons:
1. Arsenal will have mental and physical let down after their good midweek win
at Real Madrid.
2. Their away form is poor in the Premiership: P13 W only 3 L7.
3. Blackburn's home form in games against the top 8 is solid as they've beaten
Man Utd and West Ham, and drawn with Bolton and Spurs both 0-0.
4. Blackburn are just the sort of 'physical' side Arsenal struggle against.
Correct Score: 1-0 Blackburn @ 17/2 SptOdds, 8/1 VC - 4 of the Gunners' 7 away
defeats have been 1-0 including 2 of their 3 in 2006."

Chelsea v Colchester
"OK, it could be a massacre but 5 words of caution...
1. Colchester won 2-1 away at Sheff Utd in the last round (and did us a favour).
2. Chelsea in 2006 in the Premiership and Cup have played 9 and conceded in 8 of
them!
3. Chelsea will surely suffer from the 'Cyclops Syndrome' as Mourinho will have
(at least) one eye on Wednesday's Barca game.
4. The poor pitch may help Colchester today as much as it will hinder Barca on
Wednesday.
5. Last year in the FA Cup at home, Scunthorpe gave the Blues a scare, taking
the lead before losing 3-1.

"Match Bet - Brandt Jobe beat Stuart Appleby
1. Appelby is unsuited to US Open style courses as he's had 6 missed cuts and
37th in his last 7 starts in that major, and the tough South course here is set
to host the US Open in 2 years, and it's played for 3 of the 4 rounds.
2. Apples here has only made 3 starts - M/C in 2001 and 2003, and T40th in 2004.
3. Let's remember his top class form in Hawaii was based on his brilliant
putting there - he was a very poor T75th (i.e. plumb last) for GIR in the Sony
Open when he finished T7th because he was 1st for putting on those grainy
greens.
4. Jobe is in form - 16th last week and in the last 2 years here he has played
well to finish T10th 2004 and T18th 2005. Apples in 4 starts hasn't yet had a
finish as good as either of those two!"

TOP QUALITY ANALYSIS - only ONE 2- or 3-ball was given in the week's two tournaments. No match bets given.
GOLF: Bob Hope R4 3-Balls
"Ideally we need a player who was the only one in his 3-ball to have
played today's new Classic Course in R4 yesterday, and who then shot a lower
score with solid stats compared to his rivals - Jesper Parnevik is the only
player to meet these twin criteria in the final four 3-balls today.
BEST 3-BALL BET: PARNEVIK bt Sabbatini and Maggert @ 7/4 VC:
Parnevik shot 62 on this course yesterday in R4 - his 94% GIR was superb and he
took only 26 putts. Sabbatini played the course in R1 (Wed), shot 71 and hit
only 61% GIR. Maggert shot 69 in R3 (Fri) - 26 putts and 89% GIR. It's possible
that Parnevik will have a reaction to his brilliance of yesterday as 'streakers
often can't keep it up'. Nevertheless, he looks a fair bet as 2nd favourite to
Sabbatine (5/4) here. Parnevik (Page 843 EGF 2006) improved late last season and
he did win this tournament in 2000."

GOLF: (Thursday) R1 3-Ball Analysis of the 5.24pm 3-Ball
"LAY Bo Van Pelt if you're an exchange player or BACK Azinger @ 5/2
SJ,Coral if a conventional backer. The R1 scores here for the last two year of
these players is:
Azinger 67 [2005], 67 [2004]
Barlow 66 [2005], 66 [2004]
Van Pelt 74 [2005], 71 [2004]
Yet Van Pelt is the favourite at 5/4 VC - surely on course form this is a
false price.
Azinger - The windy conditions will suit him really well so as Las Vegas
resident Barlow is at his best in calm conditions and Bo's R1 form is dodgy, Azinger
(please see EGF 2006, pg 946) at 5/2 is the selection."
Azinger shot 69, Van Pelt 70 and Barlow 73!!
Paul Azinger W5/2
FOOTBALL: (Sunday) Sunderland v Chelsea
Most 'experts' expected Chelsea to win at HT/FT at 8/15! and cruise to an easy
victory.
"Obviously Chelsea should win, however in researching this match 3
facts stand out and point to a possible 33/1 bet.
1. Sunderland at home have NOT won a Premiership home game yet they have led
in 4 home matches at HT.
2. At Stamford Bridge in Sept, Sunderland kept it to 0-0 at HT but lost 0-2 in
the 2nd half.
3. Chelsea went to lowly Everton in late Oct and were losing 0-1 at HT before
finishing 1-1.
So if there's to be a surprise it will not be Sunderland winning but it may
be that (like Everton) they take a shock lead at home at HT for the fifth time
this season before Chelsea's superiority sees them win in the second half.
HT/FT: Sunderland/Chelsea @ 33/1 SJ, SkyBet, Lads, Coral
CHELSEA to win @ 2/9 PP"
Sunderland did score first and Chelsea did go on to win although the 33/1 bet
lost!
FOOTBALL: (Wednesday) Carling Cup - Blackburn v Man Utd Draw W12/5
"Blackburn will 'fly' at United from the start and with their good
recent record they can get at least a draw especially as United would be happy
with a draw... it will be a low scoring game."
FOOTBALL: (Friday) Wolves W10/11
FOOTBALL: (Saturday)
Three odds-against homes - Fulham W11/8, Sheff Wed W11/8 and a
loser.
TV game: Blackburn v Bolton Draw W9/4
"Bolton will be without Faye, Diouf, Jaidi and Speed who between them
have scored 6 of Bolton's last 10 goals... Blackburn have had only 67 hours
recovery time since the 'draining' game against Man Utd. It was 0-0 at the
Reebok in early September and Bolton have not lost at Blackburn for 5 years -
this look a low scorer with a draw very likely."
