And, of course, cricket.
England v India. The main event of the Summer... cricket betting advice of the highest order from Keith Elliott sent members back to the payout counter.
The advice... simple. England to win the 1st Test WON 9/4.
Bookies Are Stumped!
Keith's professional betting advice told members exactly why England were a great bet to win the opening Test Match of the series at Lords:
 |
1. The draw has been heavily backed (all the way down to 10/11) because of the poor weather forecast. However, it now looks as though there will be only occasional interruptions in play, at the very worst. It looks like there will be enough play to generate a positive result.
2. These are the two best sides in Test cricket at the moment, and both are on unbeaten runs. Crucially, though, England are 'match fit', whereas India sent a below-strength side to the West Indies and have had only one (unimpressive) warm-up since arriving in England.
3. England have a settled, in-form side. The fact that the only selection dilemma is whether to play Broad or Bresnan shows the quality in the current squad. In contrast, India will have a new opening partnership with Gambhir, playing his first Test in England, likely to be partnered either by the inexperienced Mukund.
4. India lost the first Test of their July 2010 series in Sri Lanka by 10 wickets and the first in South Africa last December by an innings, so they have previous as slow starters when undercooked.
Summary: A home win is the big value call against rusty visitors who could very well be found wanting in their first big of the Summer.
