TOM WHO? IS KEITH'S BIGGEST EVER ODDS WINNER [DH] at 225/1.
On Tuesday morning 48 hours before the Open started
Elliott's Premier Sports Betting members were informed about the chance of the 20-year-old unknown Tom Lewis.
Keith rated Tom as a first round leader bet because he would start his round in
the mid afternoon when he would get the best of the weather.
'Importance Of The Weather: With the wind
always likely to get up, it is a 'must' that weather forecasts are studied in
relation to tee times as with a one tee start there can be a lot of luck in
getting 'the best of the tee times'.
Weather Forecast And Tee Times: Having
studied the weather forecast for the course for Thursday and Friday there is
absolutely no doubt that there will be an advantage to those players with a R1
afternoon / R2 morning tee time, and a disadvantage for those with a R1 morning
and R2 afternoon tee time.'

Keith then gave the reasons for expecting Tom 'Who?' Lewis to play well..
TOM
LEWIS - 1ST ROUND LEADER, HALF POINT EACH WAY @ 225/1 B365; 200/1 BF, BS, VC,
BO, SKY
'Tom Who? is a 20-year-old English Amateur who is bang in form. This year he
has won the St Andrews Links trophy finding only one bunker all week to show how
good his course management was and he was 2nd in the Lytham Trophy on the links
course at Royal Lytham.
In late 2010 he played in Australia making a big impression especially when he
just lost in a play off for the New South Wales Open.
A big factor in his favour this week is that he is actually a course winner here
as he won the English Boys Amateur Championship in 2009 on this course.
Tom has a good pair of favourable tee times - out at 2.32pm in R1 - playing
alongside Tom Watson and Henrik Stenson.
IN SUM: Amateurs with their recent bank of
links experience often do well in the Open - remember, 500/1 Justin Rose
finishing 5th in 1998, and two years ago Matteo Manassero had a top 20 finish.
All his odds are shown and you never normally see a course winner at 500/1 for
the Open. I think a small wager for a top 20 finish looks solid, and with him
having a favourable R1 tee time he could well have a good opening round when
there is no pressure so a minimal EW bet at 225/1 in the R1 leader market looks
OK especially with 56.25/1 for him to be in the top 5.'
So it was no surprise to EPSB members that Tom Lewis, getting the best of the
weather just as Keith predicted, played a superb opening round 65 to be tied for
the lead to give EPSB members their g biggest ever odds win. Yes there had been
100/1 successes from Gregory Havret [ 2007 Scottish Open],and Alvaro Quiros[
2008 Portugal Masters] but Tom Lewis' 225/1 winning bet was the biggest yet.
