Only one bet was advised for the
Senior US PGA Championship and, guess what, he only goes and wins the event!! Tom Lehman landing all members another big golf winner to follow on from recent successes like
Adam Scott W25/1,
Scott & Canizares e/w double W35/1,
Rhys Davies W33/1 etc.
Played at altitude in Denver, Colorado - on a course set up to suit the 51 year old from Minnesota - the event presented Lehman with a first Seniors Tour win of 2010 and second overall on the 'older' tour.

US PGA Senior Championship
TOM LEHMAN WON 18/1
"1. In 13 starts on the Champions Tour Lehman has posted 7 top 5s, including a win, so he has rewarded ew support more often than not including 4 times out of 5 this year.
2. He still plays a mixed schedule, and has posted 2 top 15s in 3 starts on the full tour in 2010 to demonstrate that he's still very competitive in top company and in 72-hole events.
3. Has excellent stats in 2010. Throughout his career he's usually been a reliable ball striker (top 10 for distance and GIR again), however it's his 3rd scrambling and 5th birdie average which prove he's playing really well this year.
4. There are few events held at altitude in the US but Tom had a good record in the discontinued International (also played in Colorado) which shows he can adjust to the thinner air: 2nd 2006 and with 4 other top 15s in 11 starts.
IN SUMMARY - Couples is inevitably favourite after his fantastic start to the year but at 4 times the price Lehman offers a sound each-way alternative."
Lehman's play-off victory (seeing off David Frost and hot favourite Fred Couples) was another fantastic result for members of the service and was the perfect way to begin a period of the golfing calendar which sees the US Open, the Open, the US PGA and the Ryder Cup all coming up in the space of four months.
