"1. Scott hasn't yet shown the same form in the States in 2010 as he showed back home in Australia over the winter. Nevertheless he's turned his game around impressively.
2. He hasn't been in the top 100 for GIR since 2006, yet this year he's 6th. He's also 8th for total driving, which gives him just about the best long game on tour. His overall putting stats are terrible, but in recent tournaments he's been doing better on the greens so he just needs to continue that improvement to contend here.
3. Posted top 18s in Houston and Augusta and was a respectable T26th last week in the Players.
IN SUM: The latest 2 of his 6 tour wins both came in Texas so that should give him all the confidence he needs on a course that ought to suit him."

ALEJANDRO CANIZARES was the NO 1 SELECTION for the event and he finished 2nd at 18/1, only losing out to Sweden's Peter Hanson in a two man play off. Again the reasoning was on the money...!
"1. Although he didn't make the punters' pay-out places in the Italian Open he continued his good run of form, playing well tee to green.
2. Sits in the top 20 for GIR on the European tour, and was 1st GIR when T25th in the Madeira Island Open, a similarly quirky track.
3. Although his putting has been a weakness on a couple of occasions this season overall it's improved on 2009 (he's averaging about 6 putts per tournament fewer) and he's finding a lot more fairways.
IN SUM - The only one of our selections without good course form, but he's played well on the similar Madeira track and he's in great form right now."
