1. Liverpool will play Lucas in his usual deep role today rather than the advanced role he played so successfully against Lille.
2. Benitez will play his usual 'no risks' away policy - e.g. it led to that poor 0-0 bore draw at Man City recently.
3. Liverpool have not scored a first half goal in their last 8 away Premier League games - that's 6 hours!
4. Man Utd have led at HT in only one of their last 5 Premier League games - the other 4 have been draws including their last home Premier League game against Fulham.
IN SUM: At 13/10 this looks the best bet in the game, and the best bet today.
HT DRAW / FT MAN UTD @ 7/2 LA
1. The key is the fact that this will be Liverpool's 3rd game in 6 days and they have played twice since Utd's last game. The draining effect was starting to show towards the end of the Lille game as several players looked 'leggy'.
2. Man Utd have most of their key players fit now although they do miss O'Shea and to a lesser extent Wes Brown.
3. Liverpool are a vastly different side away from Anfield and their recent away Premier League record is P8 W1 D4 L3.
4. Liverpool have a key defensive weakness at LB where Insua is vulnerable.
IN SUM: I can see Utd winning in the second half as the fresher home side exploit Liverpool's suspect left defensive flank and the fatigue factor sets in for Benitez' men.
PLEASE NOTE: Both Man Utd’s goals came from attacks at Liverpool's vulnerable left side of their defence.
PREMIER LEAGUE: BLACKBURN ROVERS v CHELSEA
[DOUBLE CHANCE BET] bBLACKBURN TO WIN OR DRAW @ 7/4 BO
The obvious away win, which has been the result in the last three years, may well not happen here today.
1. Blackburn have had a free week while Chelsea had that shattering home defeat to Inter Milan in the Champions League.
2. Chelsea's players, no matter what they say, will find it very difficult to refocus today when they will surely suffer from Mental Let Down.
3. Chelsea's recent away Premier League form isn't good. How many of their last 7 away Premier League games have they won? Only 2... so this bet would have won in 5 of their last 7 [71%] away Premier League games.
4. Rovers at home are strong - they have lost only one of their last 13 home Premier League games - so this bet has won in 12 of their last 13 Premier League home games including those against Villa and Liverpool.
5. Rovers are strong at set plays where Chelsea have been weak this season and Chelsea will still be without Ashley Cole and Michael Essien - although Petr Cech may return.
IN SUM: Rovers can get a 'result' today.
