'Unknown' 60/1 Outsider Nearly Wins Frys.com Open
There was a 3-man play-off in the American Golf tournament. One of the players was the 'unknown' RICKIE FOWLER who had been selected by Keith and was given to members on Tuesday morning.
The
analysis given then was:
"1. Rickie is only 20 years old, but spent a total of 36 weeks as the world amateur No 1. He turned pro after scoring 4/4 as a member of the successful 2009 US Walker Cup team.
2. Made an immediate impact by finishing 2nd in a NW tour event, and found his feet on the main tour (in his first event as a pro) by finishing T7th in the JT Shriners.
3. Top 5 for both total putts and P/GIR last week, which is encouraging for this birdie-fest.
IN SUM: He had a sponsors' exemption for this week, but doesn't need it after last week's top 10. He could well be on his way to being really good."
Rickie (who?) Fowler came from being three shots back after the third round to force a play-off. Unfortunately, he lost on the second extra hole to a
birdie from the winner Troy Matteson, but still secured a decent profit for members of Elliott's Premier Sports Betting.
