However I expect Reading to get a result today as Brum have been lucky in several home games and they have not met a single top six side at home so far, and they have conceded goals in their last 5 home games. Reading have the real bonus of potential scorers throughout their side - their last 9 league goals have been scored by 8 different players. They have solid results in their last 4 away games (1-0, 2-2, 2-0, 4-1) and they have also the added confidence of having gone to the Midlands this season and won superbly 3-0 at table topping Wolves. However they will be without clever winger Jimmy Kebe.
IN SUM: Birmingham's two home defeats to Blackpool and Coventry both came in the second half, and I can see Steve Coppell having a safety first game plan so a HT Draw is very likely. This looks a low scoring game and it could well be a FT draw but I'll take Reading to nick this in the second half."

"West Ham at home have had a recent run of LLLDL and they were poor at home last time to Spurs and overall they have scored either nil or one in all their last 11 PL games. With a narrow MF, Collins and Upson at CB are solid and with Green a solid shot stopping keeper they can defend, but at home they are vulnerable to swift counter attacks and Villa look just the sort of 'fast on the break' team to beat the Hammers. Villa in away PL games have scored 2 or more goals in 5 of their last 6 games to non top four sides. With the pacy Agbonlahor and Ashley Young in superb form Villa pose a real threat not only in broken play but also from set plays.
IN SUM: I think Villa can win this in the second half when the game opens up. The recommended HT/FT bet has won in Villa's last two away PL games and in 3 of West Ham's last 4 home games."

"Arsenal have had some poor home results with defeats to Hull and Everton, but they have proved that when the games really matter to them (Man Utd [H] 2-1 and Chelsea [A] 2-1) they can get results. However, they start slowly at home and have led at home at HT in only 4 of their 8 PL games. They will be fired up for this one and are understandably favourites at as low as 13/10. Liverpool [like Chelsea] have struggled at home having had 3 successive draws. However, they have lost only once all season in the PL, they are very difficult to beat and have conceded only 5 goals in 8 away [12 hours] games. Crucially, Liverpool have kept 7 clean sheets in the first half of their 8 away PL games as they are setup with two defensive MF holding players, and as Arsenal have led at HT in only 4 of their 8 home PL games this looks likely to be level at HT.
IN SUM: I can see this being a HT draw and also given Liverpool's cautious set up a FT draw is on the cards, and a repeat of last year's 1-1 is likely."
